Leslie Maureen Shores, age 85, of Alma passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at St. Vincent's Hospital after an extended illness. Daughter of the late Oliver Bryan Smith and Lennie Lord Smith. He mother died when she was 2 years old. She was raised by her father and stepmother Thelma Smith. Leslie was a member of New Lacy Church of God.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde A. Shores and two sons, Clyde Gerald Shores and Glenn P. Shores. Survivors include one son, Brian M. Shores (Michelle) of Augusta, GA.; two grandchildren Jeremy Shores of Harlem, GA. and Christina Shores of Augusta, GA.; two great-grandchildren, Cyler Shores and Quinton Grant; brother-in-law, Joe Shores (Robin) of Forest City, NC.; sister-in-laws, Christine Wise, Sarah Scott (Grover) of South Carolina and Wilma Shores of Alma; special friend, Lisa Johnson of Alma and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Shores was laid to rest at Pine Lawn Cemetery beside her husband.
