Obituary

Lewis Calvert Hall, age 66, of Alma passed away suddenly February 2nd at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County, son of the late Elishia Duncan Hall and Lollie Taylor McKenzie Hall and preceded in death by four half brothers, E.D., Mark, James and Walsteen Hall and a sister, Margaret Holland. Calvert was a member of Westside Congregational Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sheryl Taylor Hall, one son, Lewis "Porky" Hall, Jr. (Christy), daughter, Sandy Smith (Kevin) all of Alma, adopted daughter, Christy Robertson (Eric) of Brunswick, brother, Curtis Hall (Barbara), half-brother, Ronnie McKenzie (Candie), a sister-in law, Regina Hall al of Alma, also 5 grandchildren, Dustin Rowell, Greyson Hall, Slade and Lance Rigby and Keleny Smith.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 5th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Sammy Jarrard, Jason Hutto and Freddy Peacock officiating. Interment will follow in Holton Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be: Josh Kirkland, Sammy Boatright, Buster Williams, Wayne Peacock, Eric Robertson, Jose Garcia, Wayne Hall and Jerry Boatright. Honorary pallbearers will be; Donnie Altman and Shop Crew and Diversified Steel of Brunswick.
