Linda Ann Cason, age 58, of Alma passed away Monday, January 12th at Mayo Clinic in Waycross after an extended illness. She was a native of Troup County but had lived in Bacon County for many years. She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Helton, Sr., mother, Bobbie Ballew and step father, John Ballew. She was a member of Westside Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include her stepmother, Janice Helton of Alma, daughter, Connie Cason Boatright, three sisters, DeeAnna Bickford (Kenneth) of Hilliard, FL., Cindy Taylor (Keith) and Tonya Waters (Eric) of Alma, three brothers, Timothy Smith of LaGrange, Ga., Kip O'Quinn, Manuel Helton, Jr. (Terrie) of Alma and a step-brother, Tom Ballew of Orlando, FL., four grandchildren, Justin, Jared & Karlee Kilpatrick and Maria Maldonado, her grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Lewis, several nieces & nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 15th at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; David & Brian Cason, Daniel Griffin, Jeffrey Greer, Dalton
Yeomans and Derrick Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be; Class of 1974 and Lisa Barber Tomberlin.
