Linda Britt Ivey, age 73, of Alma died after a short illness Thursday June 19th, 2014 at her daughters home in Nickolson, Georgia where she had been living since July 2013. Linda was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late Joseph A. Britt and Ruby Coley Britt and was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Ivey, two brothers, J A Britt, Ronnie Ray Britt, two sisters, Connie Britt Sineath and Christine Britt Peterson. She was a member of Westside Congregational Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Burt Ivey (Marilyn) of Alma, two daughters, Susan Harris (Mike) of Nicholson, GA, Lynn Ivey of Alma, two brothers, Johnny Mack Britt (Sharon) of Whittmore, MI, Buddy Jack Britt (Fran) of Jacksonville, FL, a sister, Yvonne Newberry (Billy) of Alma, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Varnadore officiating. Interment will follow in old Pine Grove Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday evening between 6 and 9 P M.

Active pallbearers will be, Dusty and Luke Wilkinson, Marty Boatright, Rusty Boatright, Chris Anderson and Glenn Newberry. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
