Linda Scott Vaughn, age 79, passed away January 16, 2026, at Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Bacon County on July 01, 1946, to the late William Clark Scott and Evelyn Foreman Scott. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Vaughn; brothers, Billy, Harry and Richard Scott; sisters, Catherine Crews, Phyllis Turner, and Margie Taylor; and grandson, William Turner.

She was owner/ operator of Vaughn and Scott Accounting and Tax Service for many years and a member of Douglas Chapel Church.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce Scott and Robin Vaughn (Myra), both of Alma; daughters, Caitlyn Vaughn (P.J. Pensabene), Tonya Surrency, and Lisa Scott; four grandchildren, Mallory McBee (Tyler), Landon Vaughn (Jasmine), Jacoby Scott, and Christy Michelle Carter; three great-grandchildren, Kanebrie Vaughn, Daylon Vaughn, and Weston McBee; and brother, Glover Scott (Maurice).

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 2 PM in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Peavey officiating and eulogy given by Caitlyn Vaughn. Interment will follow at Douglas Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1PM until service time.

Active pallbearers include Bruce Scott, Robin Vaughn, Landon Vaughn, Tyler McBee,
Bradley Haggard, Stephen Slaughter, and P.J. Pensabene.

Honorary pallbearers include Jacoby Scott and the employees of Vaughn and Scott Accounting.

The family requests you wear yellow or bright colors to the funeral, if possible.
