Linton Wells Cribb, age 79, of Nicholls passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida after a short illness. He was born in Charlton County on October 19, 1941 to Arnold Frank Cribb and Edna Mae Ryan Cribb.

Mr. Cribb lived in Jacksonville, Florida for many years where he worked and retired from the City of Jacksonville. He  moved to Alma in 1980 and worked for Hazlehurst Mills until retirement. He was a member of Liberty Church of God.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Russell Wayne Cribb; five brothers, Carl, Jimmy, Jerry, Arnold and Milton Cribb and a sister, Frankie Reed. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Tanner Cribb of Nicholls; three children, Mark Cribb (Beth) of Alma, April Lee (Mike) of Alma and Melinda Murrhee (Bill) of Nicholls; two brothers, Ray Cribb (Ida) and Larry Cribb of Hilliard, FL.; one sister, Mussette Lewis (Ray) of Hull, GA.; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rigdon Cemetery with Rev. Mike Lee and Rev. Richard Lewis officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the cemetery from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
