Anna Lisa Johnson Newberry, age 52, passed away at her home in Waycross October 28, 2023 after an extended illness.  She was born November 14, 1970 in Bacon County. Her father Harry E. Johnson preceded her in death.

Lisa was a graduate of the Bacon County Class of 1988 and a member of New Vision Church.

Survivors include her mother, Eva Crosby Johnson of Alma; fiancé, Brandon Morgan of Waycross; three sons, Garett Newberry (Logan) of Waycross, Will Newberry (Alyssia) of Alma and Adam Newberry (Georgia Shae) of Rhine; step daughter, Brandi Davis (Timothy) of Millwood; five grandchildren, Zadie, Kager and Tate Newberry, Coleson and Tinsley Davis; brother, Chad Johnson (Amy) of Alma; sister, Paula Vickers (Chris) of Douglas and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at New Vision Church with Rev. Pet Hayes, Rev. Jimmy Miles and Rev. Edmund Thrift officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; John Peagler, Eric Hutto, Brandon Newberry, Brant Whitley, Joe Meadows, Dee Meadows, Arthur Ray Carter and Kevin Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be; Class of 1988, Dr. Harrison Carter's Office and the Downtown Sandwich Shoppe Waycross.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
