Lisa Lynn Shirey, age 51, of Blackshear died Friday May 17 ^th at Hazlehurst Court and Rehab after an extended illness. Lisa was a native of Carrolton, GA and the daughter of the late Craig Shirey. Her stepfather Jimmy White, paternal, and maternal grandparents also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her mother Brenda Davis Bell (Adam) of Baxley, 2 sons Matthew Williams of Alma and Mikell Varnes (Katie) of Texas, a daughter Jessica Mikell (Corey) of Alma, a brother Curtis White (Misty) of Alma, 4 sisters Kim Jowers (David) of Alma, Melanie Williams (Joel) of Alma, Misty Merritt (Evan) of Baxley, and Leah Steever (Nick) of New York, a special aunt Eloise Tanner of Alma, and 2 grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service will be held Friday May 24 ^th at 3 PM at the Alma Church of God, with Rev. Travis Peavey officiating.
