Lois Louise Meeks, age 83, of Nicholls passed away peacefully at her residence on January 9, 2022 after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late Eliot Yawn and Renner Cothern Yawn. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James "Bud" Meeks, and two brothers, Paul Yawn and Jurrell Yawn.

Survivors include two children, Keith Meeks of Alma and Sharon Hayes of Alma; grandson, Tim Meeks and wife Amy and two great grandchildren, Ryan and Caitlyn Meeks of Alma.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 11 ^th at 2:00 PM at Campground Church Cemetery with Rev. T. F. Yawn officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
