Louella Boatright, age 80, of Scuffletown died Thursday May 7th, 2015 at Mayo in Waycross after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late Eddie Hall and Sennie Hall Hall and was also preceded in death by her husband, Norman Eugene Boatright, two brothers, Johnny and Buster Hall, four sisters, Bernice King, Frances Beckham, Maudine Cribb and Betty Hall. Louella worked many years with Oxford of Alma and was a member of Jesus Church in Scuffletown.
Survivors include 5 sons, Vernon Eugene Boatright (Jackie) of Alma, Vincent Edward Boatright (Karen) of Baxley, Larry E. Boatright, Boonie Boatright and Bobby Norman Boatright (Harriett) all of Scuffletown, a daughter, Denise (Sissy) Justice (Wendell) of Waycross, a brother, Cecil Hall (Judy) of Alma, two sisters, Myrtle Durrance of Brunswick, Martha (Cootsie) Simmons of Scuffletown, 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Roy King and Rev. R B Gaskins officiating. Interment will follow in Jesus Church Cemetery in Scuffletown. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday evening between 6 and 9 P M.
Active pallbearers will be Chad, L B, Kyle, Lucas and Little Man Boatright and Adam Barber. Honorary will be, Timmy Johnson, Bubba Simmons, Duran Stapleton, Fish King and Jimmy Beckham.
