Louise Sweat Deen, age 86, of Alma passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Baptist Village after a short illness. She was born in Tifton, Georgia on September 20, 1931 to the late Richard Ed Akridge and Velma Lucille Jacquess Akridge. Her husband, Frank Sweat, son, Todd Sweat, three brothers, Ben, Edward and Leon Akridge, four sisters, Frances Sumner, Ruth Britt and Earlene Blankenship and Inez Yarbrough preceded her in death.

Survivors include two children, Tim Sweat (Lisa) of Hilliard, Florida and Tina Sweat Burnett of Alma, four grandchildren, Greg Burnette (Tasha), Angel Burnette, Cory Sweat and Michaela (Dustin) Bell, and four great-grandchildren, Blake Ryland Sweat, Jade Burnette, Brenton and Brenli Corbitt and her friend as close as a daughter, Debra Morris Johnson of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 14 ^th at 2:00 PM at Alma United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Hartsfield and Rev. Mike Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Lee's Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Darrell Douglas, Fred Kopp, Chip Beal, Gavin Vickers, Freddie Peacock, Buck Harnage and Edgar Martin. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
