Obituary

Louise Rigdon McClellan Tanner, age 91, of 12 th St. Alma died Tuesday November 21 st , 2017 at Community Hospice after a short illness.  She was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late Daniel (Dan) Ira Rigdon and Ruby Lee Hayes Rigdon and was also preceded in death by her first husband Henry L. (Dick) McClellan, second husband Alton Tanner, a son Dan McClellan, three brothers Julius, Merlion and John Ira Rigdon, four sisters Vertie Courson, Bertie Lannig, Leona Cannon and Eula Mae.  Louise was a member of Southside Church of God.

Survivors include a son, Roger Henry McClellan of Waycross, a sister Merley Shumake of Alma, three grandchildren Roxanne McClellan, Tammy Rubenbauer, Leah Davies, six great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at Southside Church of God with Rev. Mark Carver officiating.  Interment will follow in Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday evening between 6 and 8 P M.  The body will be carried to the church Sunday at 2:00 P M to lie in state.

Active pallbearers will be men of Southside Church of God, Jason Rubenbauer and Caleb Worley.  All others in attendance will be honorary escort.
