Lucille Douglas Jones, age 89, of Yulee, Florida passed away on December 12, 2020 at Life Care Center in Hilliard, Florida after an extended illness. She was born in Coffee County on November 30, 1931 to Levy Douglas and Lettie Lee Taylor Douglas. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Kenneth Edward Carter and Oscar Franklin Jones, Sr., an infant son in 1953, brother, Hubert Douglas and two sisters, Hazel Rigdon and Mozell Mercer.

She was a member of the Duval Station Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

Survivors include four children, Kenneth Gerald Carter of Florida, Joseph Edward Carter (June) of McClenny, FL., Lataine Carter Taylor (Frank) of Alma, GA. and Maxine Carter Parker (Will) of Cleveland, GA., sister, Mary Jo Hamilton (Pete) of Brunswick, GA., 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Due to Covid a private family graveside will be held Friday, December 18 ^th at 3:00 PM at the Douglas Family Cemetery with Rev. James Carter, Rev. Jimmy Flannigan officiating.

Active pallbearers will be; Dwayne Taylor, Seth Carter, Ricky Bird, Barry Smith, Allen Bennett, Shane Smith and James Carter.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
