Mrs. Lucy Harrelson, age 73, of Alma went home to be with her Lord on June 9, 2021 after a short illness. Born in Panama on December 13, 1947 to Guillermo C. Rodriquez and Marita Tamayo Rodriquez. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Sue Harrelson and son-in-law, Bryan Dyal.

She was an Active and Faithful member of Southside Church of God, Retired from the Bacon County Board of Education and served as the Migrant Education Coordinator.  She served as a Community Translator for the Court and other local areas. She was also an active member of Quilt for Kids and Heritage Quilt Guild.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Benjamin James "B.J." Harrelson of Alma; four children Randy Harrelson of Alma, Andy Harrelson (Angela) of Aiken, SC., Sandy Walsh (Emmett) of Bay St. Louis, MS. and Angie Dyal of Alma; brother, Ernie Rodriquez (Lora Lee) of Virginia; sister, Vilma Williams Barrett (Richie) of Merritt Island, FL.; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Southside Church of God with Rev. Mark Carver, Rev. Tommy McLaughlin and Rev. David Deen officiating. Interment will follow in Elizabeth Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Tyler Harrelson, Andrew Harrelson, Justin Harrelson, Dillon Davis, Will Davis, Dawson Dyal, Eli Dyal, Nate Dyal, Robert Boland and Brandon Boland. Honorary pallbearers will be; Bacon County Board of Education, James and Jean Taylor.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in Memory of Mrs. Lucy to the Southside Church of God Building Fund 102 Taylor Rd Alma, GA. 31510.
