Obituary
Luther Malon Dodd, Jr., age 57, of Nicholls passed away on December 31st at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah after a short illness. He was a native of Orlando, Florida but had lived in Bacon County most of his life. Luther was son of the late Luther Dodd, Sr. and Grace Brogdon Dodd.
Survivors include his wife Darlene Dowell Dodd of Nicholls, Ga., four sons, Luther M. Dodd, III (Carmon), Matthew Pruett (Tracy) and Joseph Dodd all of Alma and Jeffery Pruett of Virginia, one daughter, Scheryl Dodd Hunter (Tim) of Hobbs, New Mexico, two brothers, John Dodd (Karen) of Ray City, GA. and Jessie Dodd of New Mexico, four sisters, Mamie Nell Gray (David) of Nashville, GA., Ellen Conley of Broxton, GA., Rose Adams (Bain) of New Mexico and Grace Ann Sweat of Blackshear, GA and also 7 grandchildren survive.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral time Wednesday, January 6th from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM. Memorialization is by cremation.
Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
