Lydia Taylor Johnson, age 82, of Alma died Saturday July 7th, 2012 at Twin Oaks after an extended illness. She was a native of Coffee County but had lived in Alma most of her life. She was daughter of the late George Taylor and Fannie Gill Taylor and was also preceded in death by five brothers, Bunk, Estalee, Albert, Billy and Dan Taylor and a sister, Louise Rozier. Lydia was a beautician for 50 years before she retired a few years ago.
Survivors include a son, Roy Davis and wife Terry of Alma, four grandchildren, Kathie Mullis of Alma, Krista Davis of Denver, CO, Tommy Davis of Yorkshire, England and Beth Sirmans of Pearson, GA. Also three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening between 6 and 9 P M.
