Lynell T. Carter, age 83, of Alma died Saturday June 15th, 2013 at Bacon County Hosptial after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late Lester Turner and Eda Lee Turner and was also preceded in death by a former husband Hughlet Carter and a sister, Frances Rimes. Nell was a member of Alma First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald H. Carter (Judy) of Waycross, James Donald Carter (Evelyn) of Alma, two sisters, Florence Carter (Tommy) of Fernandina Beach, FL, Lesterline Thigpen of Savannah, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grand child.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 19th at 2:00 o'clock at Old Pine Grove Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church Wednesday at 1:00 P M.

Active pallbearers will be Scott Carter, Swede Carter, Ron Carter, Randy Vonier, Jack Johnson, Ronnie Carter and Donnie Carter. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
