Mamie Genell Park, age 80, of Alma passed away December 20, 2021 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after a short illness. Born on August 13, 1941 in Wayne County to Wilbur J. Thompson and Mamie Lou Hand Thompson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Earl Park; grandson, Stan Boatright; two brothers, Earl Thompson, Ted Leggett and two sisters, Betty Thompson Ward and Marie Leggett Forehand.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, David Park of Alma; four children, Troy Simmons (Amy) of Callahan, Norma Browder and Sandi Boatright (Benny) of Alma and Lynn Bulla (Tim) of Clarkesville; one brother, James Robert Thompson (Bobbi) of Orange Park; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Pastor Danny Turner and Pastor Chris Curry.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangemtns.
