Obituary
Margaret R. Barber, age 79, of Alma passed away Friday, October 26th at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County and of the late E. D. Taylor and Maybell Holton Taylor. Margaret was preceded in death by a daughter, Nella Faye Miller, the brothers, L.P., Bill and Nathan Taylor, a sister, Jean Morgan Nail and a grandson, Joey Miller.
Survivors include Dewey her son, Dewey Anderson and wife Maria of Alma, two brothers, Ed Taylor of Alma and Roy Taylor of Moultrie, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 30th at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Eason, Rev. Mark Carver and Rev. Bernard Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening between the hours of 6 and 8 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Jerry Ray Taylor, Harry Guest, Howard McDaniel, Steve Martin, Randy Spell and Roger Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be; Staff of Twin Oaks Nursing Home.
Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
