Margaret Bone, age 93, of Alma passed away on January 5, 2018 at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. Ms. Margaret was born on October 22, 1924 in Daswon, Georgia but had lived most of her life in Alma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Washingotn Bone and Julia Maye Vikery Bone a brother, Floyd Bone, and extended family members, Bill & Mildred Williams, Ken and Sandra Williams. She was employed with Alma Exchange Bank for 47 years and was a member of Alma First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Ben Bone of Columbus, GA., a sister, Flora Bone Culpepper (Daniel) of Columbus, GA., nieces and nephews Glenn Bone, Sharon Dennis (Doug), Betsy Candlin (Mike), and Dan Culpepper, special extended family include Flo Williams Douglas (Curt) and Kikky Williams of Milledgeville, GA., Jerry Turner (Andrea) of Alma, Art Douglas (Katie), Kelly Douglas (Susan), Kendra Williams, Bill Williams (Paula), Karen Williams Hix (Bobby), Blaine Williams (Erin) and four nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 7 ^th at 1:30 PM at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Sweatt and Rev. Clint Burkett officiating and eulogies will be given by; Sharon Dennis, Karen Hix, Janie Johnson, Sara Walker, Sharon Dennis, Latrelle Turner and Betty Sue Johnson. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Art Douglas, Bill Williams, Blaine Williams, Glenn Bone, Dan Culpepper, Bobby Hix and Mike Candlin. Honorary pallbearers will be; Employee's of Pineland Bank and the Joy Sunday School Class.
