Obituary

Margaret (Margie) Taylor, age 75, of Alma passed away Friday, February 28th at Tanner Medical Center in Carroll County, Georgia after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County but had lived the past seven years in Bremen, Georgia. Margie was the daughter of the late William C. Scott and Evelyn Foreman Scott and preceded in death by her husband Charles Edmund Taylor, sister Phyllis Turner and a granddaughter, Stephanie Tenney. She was a member of Douglas Chapel Baptist Church of Alma and Bremen First Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Steven McCoy Taylor (Julie) of Simpsonville, S C, Stanley Taylor (Connie) of Bremen, GA, a daughter, Alynda Jones (Jared) of LaGrange, GA four brothers, Richard Scott of Macon, Billy Scott of Alma, Glover Scott of Alma, Harry Scott of Alma, two sisters, Cathrine Crews and Linda Vaughn both of Alma, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4:00 o'clock at Douglas Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Ashley Corbitt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be carried to the church at 3:00 P M to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home this evening (Saturday) between 6 and 9 P M.

Active pallbearers will be, Bruce, Kevin, Eric & Rob Scott, David Lee, Scott Crews & Trampus Turner. Honorary will be, Jimmy & Linda Nobles, Maynard & Bea Anderson, Roger & Glenda Johnson, Johnny & June Nobles, Tom & Beth Harris, Albert & Becky Sloan, Verlene McDonald, Edna Music, Glenn Moore, Ben & Jean Lott, PoJo & Connie Johnson, Jimmy & Linda Bagley, Joe & Lara Hayes, Tim & Lisa Nobles, Suzanne Davis, Curt & Niki Taylor, Morris Taylor, Alzada Taylor, Retha McCorquodale, Mayo & Norma Mims, Sue and members of the Ladies Adult Sunday School Class.
