Margarete Holland, age 85, of Alma died at her home Sunday afternoon February 24th, 2013 after an extended illness. She was native Bacon County, daughter of the late E. D. Hall, Sr. and Eva Holton Hall and was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Howard Holland, four brothers, James, Walsteen, E. D. Jr. and Mark Hall, two grandchildren, Bryson and Jessie Holland. Margarete was a member of the Alma Tenth Street Church of God.

Survivors include four sons, Jerald Holland (Linda), Roger Holland, Larry Holland and Keith Holland (Annette), a daughter, Karen Eason (Donny), two brothers, Curtis Hall (Barbara), Calvert Hall (Scheryl) all of Alma, fifteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Alma Tenth Street Church of God with Rev. Richard Davis and Rev. Edmund Thrift officiating. Interment will follow at the Holland Farm Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Tenth Street Church of God Tuesday evening between 6 and 9 P M. Active pallbearers will be, Howie, Trevor, and Jason Holland, Jamie Moore, Kevin Welden, Scott Morgan and Charlie Powell. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary pallbearers.
