Obituary

Margie Ann Watts, age 74, of Waycross died suddenly at her home Saturday December 27th, 2014. She was a native of Glynn County but had lived in Appling and Bacon County for many years and in Waycross the past 12 months. She was daughter of the late Richard Robert (Rob) Bell and Jessie Lightsey Bell and was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Bell, a sister, Mary Nell Brown. Margie was an insurance representative for many years and a member of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Appling County.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Leroy Watts of Waycross, a son, John Robert (J R) Miles (Linda) of Mershon, a daughter, Suzy Miles Dixon (Jamie) of Alma, two step-sons, Johnny Watts of Fitzgerald and Ken Watts of Elkmont, AL, a step daughter, Kathy Anderson of Columbia, S C, 8 grandchildren, Shira Dixon Medders, Jodi Dixon, Marianne Miles, Lilah Grace Mullis, Sarah Kate Miles, Jackson Miles, Samuel Miles, John Lander Miles, 1 great-grandchild, Rilyn Medders, a sister-in-law, Vickie Bell of Waycross, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 o'clock at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Appling County with Rev. Jimmy Thrift and Rev. Jimmy Miles officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be carried to the church Monday morning at 10:00 o'clock to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday evening 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be, Jimmy Hugh Bell, Jeffrey & Jacob Bell, Jody Miles, T-Boy Carter and Travis Taylor. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
