Martha Spell Lee, age 91, passed away May 18, 2025, after an extended illness. She is the daughter of the late Monroe Spell and Lura Drawdy Spell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Aubrey Lee; four brothers, Loyd, James, Thomas E., and Ira M. Spell; two sisters, Ivey Harper and Dorothy Wilcher.

She is survived by one son, Neal Lee (Brenda) of Alma; one daughter, Ginger Lee Schmidt (Phil) of Arlington, VA. Five grandchildren, Aubrey Cory Lee, Matthew Neil Lee (Kaitlyn), Nicole Lee Walker (Matthew, aka "Jeffrey"), Laura Schimdt and Audrey Schmidt. Two great-grandchildren, Bristol Lee and Waylon Lee.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Alma, Bacon County School Board and Bacon County Hospital Board for many years.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11AM at First Baptist Church of Alma with Pastor Ron Sweatt and Pastor Wayne Woods officiating.  A eulogy will be given by Phil Schmidt. A visitation will be held at Crosby Funeral Home Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 6-8 PM.

Active pallbearers include Darrell Page, Steve Wilcher, Wayne Wilcher, Lew Wilcher, Greg Spell, and Curt Spell.

Honorary pallbearers include the Bacon County Hospital Board members, Bacon County Hospital CEO and administration. The Bacon County school board members, superintendent, administration, and retired teachers. The Supper Club, Lydia Sunday School Class, Janay Harrell, and Autumn Kinard.
