Mary Melinda Burnam, age 66, of Alma passed away at her residence Friday, April 8th after an extended illness. Melinda was daughter of the late James Luther Lee, Sr. She was a retired Nurse for the Metter Regional Hospital and a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Wilma Cole Lee of Alma, her husband of 46 years, Don Burnam of Alma, two daughters, Becky Burnam Toth (Eric) of Douglas and Bonnie Burnam Eunice (David) of Alma, two brothers, James Luther Lee, Jr. (Cedus) of Fitzgerald, Ga. and Mitchell Kelly Lee (Theresa) of Acworth, Ga., one sister, Delilah Ann Johnson of Norcross, Ga.; also 2 grandchildren, Courtney and Katie Toth of Douglas.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Lee and Rev. George O'Berry officiating. Interment will follow in Saginaw Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 9 PM.
Nephews will serve as active pallbearers. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
