Mary Nell Duck, age 78, of Alma passed away September 19, 2023 at Coffee Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born January 23, 1945 in Jeff Davis County to the late Woodrow Wood and Maxine Claxton Wood. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James K. Duck; daughter, Rhonda Harrelson; three brothers, Roger Wood, Bobby Wood and Billy Wood and two sisters, Geraldine Stewart and Betty Ann Crawford.

Mrs. Duck was a member of Harvest Renewal Worship Center in Nicholls.

Survivors include her son, Larry Duck and wife Wendy; five grandchildren, Corey Lee Duck, Samuel Christopher Duck, Destiny Harrelson, Maghan Campbell and  Lauren Dyal; three great-grandchildren; brother, Allen Wood and wife Catherine of Hazlehurst and 2 sisters, Linda Davis and Barbara Nobles and husband Ray of Hazlehurst.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Booth officiating. Interment will follow in Hazlehurst City Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be: Chris Duck, Hunter, Duck, Alec Campbell, Corey Duck, Bryan Strickland and Jagger Young.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
