Mary Ann Tanner, age 49, of Alma passed away on Saturday, February 20th at her residence after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her stepfather William Ruben Greer. She was a member of Campground United Methodist and worked with Simmons Mattress Company for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Greg Tanner of Alma, her mother, Mary Lee Dyal Greer of Nicholls, father, Walter Woodard and stepmother Bobbie of Cedar Town, Georgia, one son, Gregory Brian Tanner (Regina) of Alma, a brother James Woodard (Janet) of Madison, Georgia several step brothers and sisters, and three grandchildren, Peyton, Mason and Alayna Tanner of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 24th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Capshaw and Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Campground Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Active pallbearers will be; Jeff Bayard, Bubba Simmons, Ricky Pinson, Logan Curl, Sammy Woodard and James Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers will be; Employee's of Simmons Mattress Company, Thomas Grayson, Mitchell and Jamie Curl and cousins, nieces and nephews.
