William McKee Carter, age 63, of Alma passed away suddenly at the Bacon County Hospital on June 9, 2020, He was born in Wayne County to the late Charles William "C.W." Carter, Jr. and Hertha Milliken Carter. McKee had made the Alma area his home for many years. He worked with D. L. Lee's for many years as a truck driver; also worked with the International Union of Painters and was a member of New Lacy Church of God.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Carter.

Mr. Carter is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debbie Crews Carter of Alma, two sons, Ryan Carter and his wife Amy of Bonaire, Brandon Carter and his wife Maura of Alma, five grandchildren, Kenny Awe, Ezra Carter, Bryce Carter, Avery Carter and Mina Carter, one brother, Charles William Carter, III of Atlanta, two sisters, Diane Stavropoulos and her husband Angelo of Atlanta and Karol Jean Harvey of Brunswick.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 12th at 6PM at the Alma 1st Church of the Nazarene. All family and friends are invited to attend.
