Melissa Darlene Cato, age 49, of Broxton passed away December 15, 2023 suddenly at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Jesus Cato  and stepfather Louis Martinez.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Bohannon Edens; three daughters, Melissa Covington of Metter, Ashley Taylor of Broxton and Allie King (Austin) of Douglas; six grandchildren, Natalie, Kain and Mali Covington, Cohlton Taylor, Cayson and Kylan King; four brothers, Ricky Bowers (Donna) of Alma, Steven Bowers (Diane) of Jacksonville, Richard James Bowers (Sharlene) of Texas and David Capps of Alma and two sisters, Allana Taylor (Shayne) and Kelli Boatright (Eric) of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Cliff Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Dalton Bowers, Martin McNutty, Brandon Bowers, D. J. Capps, Chase Taylor and Jeffery Davis. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
