Michael Jason Hyers, age 46, of Alma died suddenly at his home Tuesday June 4th, 2013. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Malcolm Hyers. Michael worked as a journeyman lineman for many years and attended Southside Church of God and Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Evelyn Lee Hyers of Alma, his wife of 11 years, Tracy Denise Brigmond Hyers of Alma, a son, Cody Hyers of Alma, a daughter, Halee Hyers of Alma a step-son, D J Leavens of Douglas, two step-daughters, Faith and Breanna Leavens of Douglas, a sister, Teresa Sears of Alma, a nephew, Rusty Sears of Alma and a niece, Jade Sears of Alma.

Graveside services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. Bryant Bishop and Rev. Mark Carver officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be, Dane Boatright, Junior Harrison, Rusty Sears, D J Leavens, Jeff Lee and Tim Johnson.

Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements.
