Michael Renee Meeks, age 61, of Nicholls passed away at his residence June 24, 2023 after an extended illness. He was born January 30, 1962 to David Meeks and Omaree Vickers Meeks. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Pinson Meeks.

Mr. Meeks was retired from Wal Mart Distribution.

Survivors include two children, Brett Michael Meeks (Ashely Jo) and Stephanie Sanford (Daniel); seven grandchildren, Brayden McElroy, Shanley Meeks, Connor Meeks, Daniel Meeks, Savanah Sanford, Lane Stone and Jonathan Dykes; two brothers, Darrell Meeks (Brenda) and Charles Meeks; one sister, Daveen Smith and special friends, Georgia McKinnon and Roy Hollis.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. George Carol Paulk.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
