Mildred Estelle Lee, 90, of Alma passed away Wednesday, February 4th at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. She was a native of Ware County but had lived in Bacon County most of her life. Mildred was daughter of the late Walter Estelle Thigpen and Viola Dykes Thigpen and preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee, a son, Dane Roy Lee, son-in-law, Russell Barfield, and two sisters, Christine Thigpen and Jean Parker. She was a member of Old Pine Grove Congregational Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Barfield and Beverly Bennett (John) of Alma and Rita Eaton (Jim) of Waycross, a sister, Fern Lee of Alma, three grandchildren, David Johnson, Barbara Ann Bennett of Blackshear and Brent Wheeler of Bishop, Ga. and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7th at 2:00 PM at Old Pine Grove Church with Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Jim Eaton, Brent Wheeler, David and Daniel Johnson, Mike Lee and Larry Mullis. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
