Minnie Lane, age 77, of Alma passed away June 14, 2023 at her residence after an extended illness.  She was born May 30, 1946 in Mayo, Florida to Johny Shuemake and Minnie Louise Ryals Shuemake.  She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Jones, two brothers, James Shuemake and A. J. Shuemake and a sister, Allene Cooper. Survivors include two daughters, Sonya Lane and Janett Lane both of Alma; three grandchildren, Kevin Steedley, Michael Steedley (wife Natasha) and Anthony Steedley (wife Brandi) and nine great-grandchildren, Trent Steedley, Harley Rae Steedley, Ramsey Steedley, Miley Steedley, Maven Steedley, Ethan and Mazy Bullard, Jaycee Lee Steedley and Aubrey Steedley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Wilson officiating. Harley Rae Steedley will give a personal eulogy. The family will be receiving friends Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until funeral time. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; Kevin Steedley, Michael Steedley, Anthony Steedley, Corbin Jarrard, Dawson Herrington and Trent Steedley.  GHC Hospice and all others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
