Minnie Jo Sumner, age 89, of Nicholls passed away September 1, 2024 at the Pavilion in Baxley after a short illness. She was born December 20, 1934 in Brantley County to Doc Cole and Pauline Cole. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband's Allie Sweat and Dean Sumner, daughter, Jerri Lynn Taylor, daughter in law, Renita Hart Sweat and two sisters, Gwen Cole and Shirley Grover.

Mrs. Sumner was a member of Campground Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Al Sweat and Mike Sweat, two sisters, Mary Zazelle and Johnnie Loffell.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
