Nash Hendrix Thomas, age 14, of Alma passed away suddenly from injuries sustained in an ATV accident Sunday, October 20,2024.

A 9th grade student at Bacon County High School, Nash was a member of the Beta Club, TSA and Tennis Team, and he played Saxophone in the Raider Regiment Band. He was also a member of Alma First Baptist Church.

Nash is the son of Justin Glenn Thomas and Kathy Shea Thomas of Alma. He is survived by three siblings, Cadence Grace Thomas, Coleman Glenn Thomas, and Preston J. Asher Thomas of Alma, paternal grandparents, Danny Glenn Thomas and Barbara Brewton Thomas of Nashville, TN, aunts and uncles, Joni Hubbard (Heath) of Tokyo, JPN, Jeremy Thomas (Beth) of Greenville, NC, Kim Murphy (Michael) of Albany, GA. and Kirk Durden (Tonda) of Keystone Heights, FL.  Nash was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wiley Preston Durden and Mary Sue Hendrix Durden and cousins, Marc Sean Durden and Alexander Preston Franklin.

Visitation will be held Friday afternoon October 25, 2024 at the Alma First Baptist Church from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Alma First Baptist Church with Pastor Brannon Pate, and Pastor Ron Sweatt officiating.  A graveside service will follow at 4:00 PM at Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, in Aline, GA.

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund is being created to assist future students attending the Surge150 Music Camp.  Donations can be made at Pineland Bank to the account of "In Memory of Nash Thomas"

Active pallbearers will be: Travis Cothern, Lance Wood, Jaycee Clements, Jackson Waters, Tristan Strickland, Marcus Garrett, Blake Garrett and Dalton Saro. Honorary pallbearers will be: Joshua Manning, Hayden McCarty, Turner Bagley, Robert Komanecky and William Komanecky.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
