Nola Cleo Turner, age 95, of Alma passed away Monday, November 1,2017 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born in Appling County on October 21, 1922 to the late Piece Byrd. Her husband Emory Lawton Turner, four brothers, Dan, Esrey, Dewey and Ira Byrd and two sisters, Retter Smith and Ruth Boyett preceded her in death. She was a member of Old Pine Grove Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son, Donald Turner and wife Judy of Alma, a sister, Naomi Strickland of Blackshear, GA., 1 grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren.

Crosby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
