Obed Alvin Good, age 88, of Alma passed away Friday, January 29th in the Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was born on June 6, 1927 to Fred Good and Elsie May Marks Goods. Obed was preceded in death by a grandson, Willow Lang, three brothers, Paul, Doil and Art Good and two sisters, Bea and Inez Good. He was retired from the Martin Marietta Engineering Firm, a Deacon of Alma First Baptist Church a member of the Alma Exchange Club and the Masonic Lodge and also served in the US Army as a Military Police.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Wade Good of Alma, three daughters, Jackie Watson, Ronnie Flick of Orlando, FL. and Josephine (JoJo) Agee of Phoenix, AR., three step-sons, Larry Porter (April) of Fuquay Varina, NC., Lynn Porter and Bruce Porter (Holly) of Alma; also 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 6th at 3:30 PM at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Danny Turner officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday, February 6th from 1 to 3 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Gideon's.

Active pallbearers will be; Reid Jackson, Seth Ford, Danny Turner, Lynn Porter, Danny and Lane Wade. Honorary pallbearers will be; The Seekers Sunday School Class from the First Baptist Church and the Bacon County Exchange Club.
