Ola Sue Varnadore, age 79, of Alma passed away Sunday, October 28th in Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was a native of Toccoa Ga. but had lived in Alma for many years. Ola Sue was daughter of the late Frank Cleveland and Mamie Varnadore ; preceded in death by her husbands, Norman Varnadore and Hubert Varnadore, a sister, Linda Mayes, a step sister, Glenda Wildes and a grandson, Grayson Varnadore. She was a member of Southside Church of God
Survivors include three sons, Clyde Varnadore & Tony Varnadore of Hazlehurst and Roger Varnadore of Alma, a daughter, Beverly Jordan (Harry Lee) of Alma, two sisters, Ollie Mae White of McClenny, FL., Elizabeth Weaver of Tacoa, Ga., two step-sisters, Frankie Barber and Joann Barber of Alma, one step-brother, Don Varnadore of Alma, ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30th at 3:00 PM at Southside Church of God with Rev. Mark Carver and Rev. Robert Varnadore officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Baptist Church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening between 6 and 8 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Kevin & Keller Quinn, Matt Walsh, Andrew, Jesse and Rodney Varnadore. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
