Oswald Hersey, age 82, of Bickley passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born on November 19, 1934 to the late Artie Hersey and Ruth Naomi Nettles Hersey. His brother Fred Hersey and brother-in-law, Willie "Bill" Bagley preceded him in death. Oswald was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and served in the US Air Force.

Survivors include two brothers, Artie "Junior" Hersey, Jr. of Nicholls, GA. and Curtis Hersey (Jeanette) of Waycross, GA., a sister, Mary Bagley of Bickley, GA. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 13 ^th at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Tuttle and Rev. David Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 8:30 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Artie Bagley, Wendell Bagley, Benji Hersey, Johnny Dixon and Willie Bagley. Honorary pallbearers will be; Ashley Denton, Loyd Denton and Ricky Waters.
