Padgett "Pat" Larry Chancey, age 77, of Oak Hill, Florida passed away on August 30, 2018 at New Smyrna Florida Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Bacon County on February 26, 1941 to the late Harold Lacount Chancey and Pauline Padgett Drose. Mr. Chancey was a member of the Masonic Fleming Lodge in Augusta, The Shiner's and the Miracle Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia

Survivors include his wife, Gail Young Chancey of Oak Hill, FL., three children, Larry Dewayne Chancey (Marlene), Rene Michelle Chancey and Lori JoAnn Ivey of Augusta, GA., three stepsons, Gregory P. Purvis of Atlanta, GA., Bradley D. Purvis of Fort Payne, AL. (Nichole) and Britton P. Purvis (Brittany) of Orange City, FL., a brother, William "Billy" Chancey (Eula) of Mershon; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 3 ^rd at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. T. F. Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday, September 3 ^rd from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; David May, Dexter Chancey, Wess Gay Jeremy Irby, Britton Purvis and Brad Purvis. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
