Patricia "Ann Altman" Leggett age 71, of Alma passed away on June 19, 2022 at Hazlehurst Court Care & Rehabilitation after an extended illness.

Ann was born on September 4, 1950 in Alma to the late James "Tater" Quinton Altman and Nellie Gray "Odom" Altman.  She was a member of New Vision Congregational Methodist Church.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Leslie Curtis Altman.

Ann is survived by her daughter Heather Altman, Brother James "Jimmy" Altman, and is known as Grammy to Emma Grayce Altman and Quinton Lee Altman and Ann called her best friend Zana May. In addition to those mentioned above she is survived by many family and friends.

She loved Alma, Ga and working in the community.  She considered it a privilege to support Potters House of Alma Ga, the Salvation Army, Surrounding Domestic Abuse Shelters, St. Jude's, the Arthritis Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project.

Early in life Ann enjoyed working with family and friends as a seamstress.  Later she felt blessed to work at The Easy and Family Dollar for many years as she would see friends (old and new) and family daily.

With a special Thank You to Regency Hospice (Narissa) and special friends that gave her comfort, joy, and friendship in Ann's last months.  Also, kind regards to Science Care for the respect and Care of Ann's final wishes.

We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her Family & Friends in Heaven. She is immensely loved and will be greatly missed.  Caring for others and the future to the very end Ann donated her body to science via Science Care. Her Legacy Letter will be on display on Tuesday stating the many ways her donation benefited others.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, September 13th from 4pm to 6pm at New Vision Congregational Methodist Church in the Social Hall.  The family will receive family and friends from 4pm to 6pm.
