Obituary

Patricia Varnadore Courson, age 79, of Hazlehurst passed away on August 19, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born October 12, 1942 in Appling County to Adrian Varnadore and Aline Yawn Varnadore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Joseph Courson, brother, James Olan Varnadore and sister, Christine Varnadore Salter.

Mrs. Courson was retired from Merita Bread and was a member of Buckingham Place Church of God.

Survivors include her four children: Derrick (Tonya) Wildes of Brunswick, GA, Thomas W. (Christy) Wildes of Jacksonville, GA., Rhonda Wildes Jewell (Randy)  of Douglas, GA. and Wanda Wildes (Jerry) Shiver of Lamont, FL; three sisters, Eula Mae Lewis of Alma, GA, Nina (Terry) Bryant of Mershon, GA. and Brenda (Tony) Rentz of Waycross, GA; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Rentz officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

Active pallbearers will be; Jason Gillis, Anthony Manning, Adam Fussell, Ryan Wildes, Alton and Cole Smith. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
