Obituary

Paul Dennis Cook, age 76, passed away peacefully July 21, 2026, at Twin Oaks Convalescent Center after an extended illness. He was born in Danville, Illinois

December 29, 1949, to the late Virgil Pete Cook and June Cook. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Anita Gayle Cook; son in law, Tony Lord; his sister, Hilah Brown; and nephew, Chad Hupfer.

He was a lifelong farmer and dedicated 27 years to working as a sprayer operator for row crops in Nebraska. He was a member of Alma Christian Fellowship and the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his daughter, Juli Jarrard (Mark) of Alma; stepson, Jon Gebhart (Rosa) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; stepdaughter, Jacque Beckley (Howard) of Pittsboro, IN; brother, David Cook (Edie) of Bismarck, Ill.; sister-in-law, Jackie Hupfer (Chuck) of Bismarck, Ill.; grandchildren, Amanda Cox (John), Lauren Beckley, James Hernandez (Natalie), Jake Muirheid, Joshua Muirheid, Austin Lord (Anna), and Traci Davis (Josh); three great-grandchildren; niece, Shelly Schoenherr (Bill); great-nephews, Noah Schoenherr (Haley) and Brandon Schoenherr; great-niece, Emma Schoenherr (Gage) and great-great niece, Delilah Schoenherr.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 27, 2026, at Alma Christian Fellowship at 11 AM with Pastor Calvin Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Campground Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10 AM until service time.

Active pallbearers include Brandon Orvin, Josh Davis, Howard Beckley, River Orvin, Austin Lord, and Bo Davis. Honorary pallbearers include Alex Cisneros, Ashley Miles, Pat Lott, NP and staff, Ivey Sellers, Caitlyn Lee, Shonna Bennett, and Christy Lucas.
