Obituary

Pauline M. Lee, age 95, of Alma passed away Monday, July 14th at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native of Pierce County but had lived in Bacon County since December 1937. She was daughter of the late San Mattox and Georgia Tuten Mattox and was also preceded in death by her husband Warren Lee, an infant son, a son-in-law, Billy Mullis, a grandson, Leslie (Catfish) Mullis, six brothers, Hyson, Walter, John H., Buck, Tracy and Stanley Mattox. Pauline was a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Sammy Lee (Debbie) of Waycross, two daughters, Charlie Nell Mullis of St. Mary's, Johnnie Dell DeLettre (Gerald) of Alma, four grandchildren, Lisa Mullis of St. Mary's, Cheryl Cothern, Paula Lewis and Charla Lee all of Alma, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild survive, Johnny and Diane King, two special caregivers, Betty Jones and Audrey Cole.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 16th at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church at 3:00 o'clock, with Rev. Lowell Lee, Rev. Bryant Bishop and a eulogy by Gerald Douglas. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church Wednesday from 1:00 P M until funeral time at 3:00 P M.

Active pallbearers will be, Blake Lee, Brandon Mullis, Junior Harrison, Bodie Johnson, Johnny Cason and Troy Mattox. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
