Obituary

Pauline Turner, age 94, of Alma passed away August 31, 2024 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness.  She was born July 8, 1930 in Coffee County to Levy Allbritton and Ada Bell Swain Allbritton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. D. Turner, daughter, Kathy Turner Sweat, son, Glenn Turner and two brothers, James Allbritton and Gene Allbritton, and two sisters, Aline Albritton Hyers Goodbread and Helen Allbritton Vickers.

Mrs. Turner was retired from the Bacon County School System after many years of service and was a member of the Alma First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Liz Ann Hart (Wendell), two grandchildren, Charlie Sweat (Krista) and Bob Hart (Anna), two great grandchildren, Gentry Hart and Maddux Sweat, and two sisters, Lillie Crews (Bob), and Marilyn Anderson.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Damascus Church Cemetery with Rev. Dan Taylor officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Twin Oaks Nursing Home Staff and Dr. Harrison Carter and Jenny Dowling.

Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
