Pearlene Sweat Cason, age 95, of Nicholls passed away May 6, 2023 at her residence after a short illness. She was a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late Leory Sweat and Daisy Barber Sweat. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Buford David Cason; son, Keith Cason; grandson Kyle Cason; great-grandson Ethan Fordham; two brothers, Frank Sweat and Robert Sweat; three sisters, Edna Jacobs, Mary Lee Long and Eleanor Thomas.

Mrs Cason was a lifelong member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Johnny Cason and wife Sybil; four grandchildren, Kip Cason, Brian Cason, Connie Boatright and David Cason; sister, Christine Jones; 4 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Delk officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Deacons of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church will serve as active pallbearers. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
