Peggy Sue Layport, age 59, passed away peacefully at her residence with her children by her side on December 16, 2025, after an extended illness. She was born August 10,1966, in West Palm Beach, FL to Douglas Fain Flowers and Faye Marie Wouldridge McGahee.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Calvin Layport, Sr.; her father, Douglas Flowers; her brothers, Wade Flowers and Eugene Wilson; sisters, Linda Flowers and Regina Scott.

She is survived by her mother, Faye Marie McGahee; sons, Robert Layport, Jr (Ashton) of Blackshear and Douglas Layport of Alma; daughters, Ashleigh Thomas (Daniel) and Samantha Layport, both of Alma; grandchildren, Lorie and Logan Thomas, Harlow Layport, Jackson Layport, and Calvin Layport; sisters, Debbie Stanbrough and Kathy Cain (Todd) both of Alma, Lisa Crosby of Baxley, and Joyce Ellis (Keith) of Lake Placid, FL.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
