Pete Lee, age 76, of Alma passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 24th at the Bacon County Hospital. He was son of the late Taft Lee and Edna Spell Lee and preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ann Anderson and two brothers, Lamar " Bo" Lee and Charles Lee. He was owner and operator of Pete Lee Abattoir for many years and was a member of Alma Church of God.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Vivian Johnson Lee, two sons, Stevie Alan Lee of Alma, Rodney Shawn Lee (Lisa) of Douglas, a daughter, Sheila Lee Futch (Kenneth) of Alma, two brothers, Billy Lee and Troy Lee (Syble) of Alma, two sisters, Margie Jones (Perry) of Hoboken and Patricia Tanner of Alma, also 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26th at 2:00 PM at the Alma Church of God with Rev. Travis Peavy and Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Alma Church of God at 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Devin Johnson, T. G. Lee, Ray Johnson, Jeffery Anderson, Greg Lee and Andrew Lee. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
