Peter Micheal Simmons, age 23, of Alma passed away suddenly Sunday, July 4, 2021 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Peter was born in Mobile, Alabama on December 17, 1997 but had lived most of his life in Bacon County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Suzanne Simmons and maternal grandfather,Wilton "Pete" Simmons. He was a member of New Hope Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Brittany Dudley Simmons of Alma; brother, Austin Medders; maternal grandmother, Ann Simmons; aunt and uncle, Winky and Regina Medders; father and mother-in-law, David and Natalie Dudley; sister-in-law, Ashile Hennesy (Matthew); brother-in-law, Reece Pierce; nephew and niece, Fisher and Emma Hennesy all of Alma and two cousins, Caleb and Carver Medders of Augusta.

Peter loved being a Red Raider, participating in several sports in high school. After graduation, he volunteered countless hours to coaching little league football, basketball and baseball. He also continued to help with varsityfootball after graduating. His passion for the Red Raiders will not be forgotten.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Pet Hayes officiating and an eulogy by Joe Hayes. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Ron Johnson , Bladen Johnson, Tuff Thomas, Drew Yeomans, Jacob Carver, AmetriusWilliams and Dalton Allmond. Honorary pallbearers will be All Red Raiders.
Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements
