Philip Michael Henderson, age 69, of Alma passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Satilla Hospice after a short illness. He was born in Bacon County on March 31, 1949 to the late Raymond Alford Henderson, Sr. and Wannell Carter Henderson. His borther, Ray A. Henderson, Jr. and a sister, Deborah L. Henderson preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Margaret "Peggy" Hopwood Henderson of Alma, four stepdaughters, Michelle Gray, Christina Powell (Shane) of Hazlehurst, Melinda Eason of Alma and Patricia Million of Perry, GA. one sister, Patty M. Carver (Carroll) of Alma, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, Nicole Henderson Patterson and Deedra M. Johnson, 1 great nephew and 3 great nieces.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Big Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Darby officiating and a eulogy given by Buddy Cothern.  Honorary pallbearers will be; Don Douglas, Buddy Cothern, Tommy Courson and their families.
